The color palettes are great for teens and young professionals. Now that the holidays are coming up and the party invitations start piling up, it’s a great time to start experimenting with color. Don’t be afraid to go beyond nudes and browns. Here are a few handy tips:
- When picking out your eyeshadow, if you’re going for the full three-shade combo, use a medium color for the base, a darker shade for shadowing or accent, and a lighter shade for highlight. Make sure they go together, and they don’t clash with your outfit.
- If you’re mono-lidded (the fold of your eyelid isn’t pronounced) you can skip the shadow or accent color, especially if you’re putting on make-up for daytime, and just use a nice dark eyeliner on your upper eyelid. Keep the dark color close to your upper lashline.
- When putting on eyeshadow, especially if you’re using more than one shade, remember to blend, blend, blend.
- If your eyeshadow is a bit heavy, lighten up on your blush and/or lip color. If you’re wearing really dark lipstick, use light eye make-up and/or blush.
- Light colors for your lips make you look younger.
- If you have pronounced wrinkles around your eyes, don’t use eyeshadow that’s too glittery.
So go on and experiment with color. Be creative, and don’t be afraid to try out new shades. Remember, if a color doesn’t work on you, you can always wash it off and try something else. With Lovely me:ex, there’s no reason for you to look un-fabulous. Have fun!
