The Face Shop shows us how to have fun with make-up with Lovely Me:ex

“Don’t look the same way twice.”

That’s the motto for The Face Shop’s new line of make-up called Lovely Me:ex, which was relaunched on October 10 at their Bloggers’ Party and Make-Up Workshop at TGI Friday’s in Glorietta, Makati City. The event emphasized fun and versatility with The Face Shop make-up products, as beauty bloggers got to party with stylists and models to create a variety of looks using the Lovely Me:ex line.

This meant I got to try out the products that day. The model that was assigned to me was the lovely Mihwa. Here she is before we styled her, with just foundation, powder, eyeliner and lipstick.

Tina was the make-up artist I worked with. After I picked out the colors for the look we were giving Mihwa, we decided to split the job by doing one eye each. I did Mihwa’s left eye, Tina did the other.

Somehow we managed to keep everything symmetric! We used three of the Lovely ME:EX You & Eyes eyeshadows (Php245): a pink base color, gold for highlight, and dark purple for accent. Mihwa had very Asian eyes, so I made sure to not to overdo the dark purple eyeshadow and keep it close to the upper lash line. I was going for a look that would work for both day and night.

For an glamorous look, I decided on big hair. I didn’t know how to style hair, so I let the Bench FX’s two hair stylists work their magic.

Here’s Mihwa getting her close-up. (I thought her lipstick was a bit too dark for the look so I added a colorless lip gloss — The Face Shop’s You Make Me Glam lip gloss – Php225) — to soften the shade and to add a little shine to her smile.) I took a picture as the official photographer was taking photos.

I thought all the workshop participants did a great job that day. Here are the models after the make-up and styling session.
