Kultura Filipino presents Christmas Naturally

Clichéd as this might sound, Christmas is really in the air. Everywhere we look, something shines or glitters or has those familiar red, yellow and green colors, reminding us of Santa Claus, Christmas trees, and the excitement we feel receiving and giving gifts.

To really get into the Christmas mood — even if it is still early — we look for gifts we could give our loved ones, and we shop for things we could use to decorate our homes as a celebration of the holidays.

And that is just what Kultura Filipino showcased — gifts and decorations perfect for the Christmas season — at the launch of their Holiday Collection at SM Makati, while highlighting their advocacy program Crafts For A Cause.

In cooperation with different foundations like the Circle of Friends Foundation, Inc. that provides transport service for people in wheelchairs through Wheelmobile, Kultura Filipino successfully launched Crafts For A Cause. Persons with disabilities PWDs were present to show their support. It warms the heart knowing some of the proceeds will go to this great cause.

Senator Lauren Legarda was present at the launch. She was shown the wide array of Christmas decor and trinkets that are Filipino-made and with indigenous materials such as capiz, sinamay, pearls, abaca, rattan, raffia, and mango wood.

There were livelihood products for Crafts For A Cause like bags made from used juice packs made by Kamay Crafts, and cute little jeepneys and stars crafted from tin can — all recycled.

Decorative balls ranging in size from small, medium, to large in different colors made a huge effect on the atmosphere of the pre-holiday bazaar. There were also nativity scene decorations, sweet little stars, angels, Christmas trees in different sizes, and, of course, Santa Claus figurines ranging from the smallest to life-size.

Aside from Christmas decor, Kultura also showcased bags, bracelets, necklaces, and a selection of home décor like place mats, picture frames, bathroom accessories, table rings, and table displays — great gift ideas for loved ones here and abroad.
