If you are looking for homegrown franchises, you’ll find the 11th Filipino Franchise Show to be the best marketplace.
This October 12-14, a showcase of Filipino talents and promotion of “Galing ng Pinoy” through an exhibit of Filipino products and services will be held at the 11th Filipino Franchise Show at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
Together with the Philippine Exhibits and Theme Parks (PETCO), the Association of the Filipino Franchisers Inc. (AFFI) sets the stage to promote world-class Filipino Entrepreneurs. AFFI also aims to make a platform for entrepreneurs who intend to take part in the micro small medium enterprise.
Filipino franchise guru Armando Bartolome, president of AFFI, said that the AFFI’s shows are very effective platforms for entrepreneurs who wish to engage in micro, small and medium enterprises (SME) and learn about franchising. He also said that AFFI are bullish about the prospects of franchising.
Ricardo Cuna, AFFI’s Executive Vice President and President and CEO of Milkin Corporation, was the one who presented the 11th Filipino Franchise Show during the Press Conference held this October 4 at Romulo Café, Jupiter Street, Makati City.
Teresita L.Ngan Tian was also at the presscon for the welcome remarks with Usec Merle M. Cruz to deliver a message from the Department of Trade and Industry. And Joel L. Cruz, Marketing Director of AFFI, was also present at the table.30,000 visitors from at least 300 exhibitors from various regions are expected to take part on the franchise show.
And to participate in what is now referred to as the “sunshine industry”, with the franchise industry churning millions of dollars in investments and some brands already succeeding overseas and becoming the country’s global ambassadors, are the prospective entrepreneurs.
Senator Edgardo J. Angara will deliver the keynote speech at the opening ceremonies. Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro, president of Lamoiyan Corporation, will discuss “Challenging the Filipino Entrepreneurs to Make a Difference”.
Also joining the event, Tony Tuviera, president and chief executive officer of Television and Production Exponents, Inc. (TAPE) and producer of the popular noontime show “Eat Bulaga”, will receive a special citation for “GalingPinoy Franchise Excellence”.
Joey Concepcion, chairman and founder of Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, and Sonia Roco, president of Sultan Toastmasters, will also grace the event.
The exhibit hours are from 10AM to 7PM and will be open to the public. Aside from the exhibit, the three-day show will also conduct seminars, workshops, training sessions, and demonstrations to provide educational opportunities to current franchisees to further their skills in entrepreneurship.
To support the AFFI’s show are the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) which will showcase their One Town, One Product (OTOP) stores, BPI, SEAOIL, Aquabest, RCBC, 2GO Express Inc., and Jimac Inc., along with media partners the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Business Mirror, United Daily News, Entrepreneur Magazine, Buy and Sell, 88DB.com, Business World, SM Tickets, Seafarer Asia, and Mobeeu Mobile.
