Brunch with the Chef


This week’s Curiosity Got the Chef is all about first impressions as Chef Sharwin prepares a menu to satisfy a bevy of charming ladies looking for the perfect meal.

Tocino

Starting off a medley of breakfast staples is Tocino Eggs Benedict — a slightly flattened pandesal toasted in olive oil with fried chicken or pork tocino and half of a hard boiled egg on top, partnered with a special sauce for a unique taste.

Tomatoes

Fried Mustard Tomatoes with Peach Relish is a vegetarian dish where sliced tomatoes are breaded in flour, bread crumbs, eggs and dijon mustard, then fried. The relish is made from peaches cut into chunks and mixed with minced onions, bell peppers, calamansi juice, and olive oil.

Avocado

For dessert, lightly sauteed shrimps, pitted avocados, sliced green onions, and cheddar cheese are mixed in with flour, baking powder, eggs, milk and butter, then baked to make Avocado and Shrimp Muffins.

“Curiosity Got the Chef” season 2 premiered on Wednesday, 25 July. It airs every Wednesday at 9:30 PM on the Lifestyle Network, with replays on Saturdays at 6 pm and Sundays at 1030 am.
