Wawa Dam located in Wawa, Rizal is one of the places the province is definitely proud of. A respite from the city –quiet, relaxing Wawa Dam is a unique spot many have yet to see.
Upon entering, each visitor just needs to pay Php2.00 at the Barangay Hall and sign their names at the DENR office.
It’s a long way up, and so to get energized, visitors can drop by the stores (carenderias or sari-sari stores) lined on the road to buy food.
Mountains surround Wawa. It may seem like a strenuous hike for some.
The road is unpaved, rocky, and quite slippery so wearing comfy shoes is really a must. There is a metal bridge you must cross to reach the dam. You will climb down the rocky spot and you will cross the long bamboo bridge to get face to face with the Wawa Dam.

The first time we went there, wala kaming dalang extra clothes and slippers. Bumyahe kaming lahat pauwi na basa ang shoes pati ang ilalim ng pants
