A message from my classmate: “Free tickets!”
The Yahoo! OMG! Awards was being promoted all over the news — radio, TV, newspaper and online. Then a classmate of mine sent me a text message a day before the event saying she had two extra tickets. Who wouldn’t want this?

I was one of the two who agreed to come. First, it was free. Second, they were front row tickets. And third, celebrities would be all over the place. The gates were supposed to open at 6pm and we should have been inside the arena that early but due to delays, my classmate and I were only able to find our seats at 7:30pm.
While waiting in line, we saw local movie and TV stars parade down the violet carpet. The female stars arrived wearing their glamorous and gorgeous designer outfits, accompanied by male stars looking very handsome with their fashionable coats and ties.
Other celebs walked the carpet with friends, while some arrived alone, but that didn’t make them look less splendid. The main hosts of the event were Isabelle Daza, Raymond Gutierrez, and Solenn Heusaff (who won the 1st award of the night as the Female Newcomer of the Year).
Bands also gave the event the fun and energy that it had, and Urbandub was among the performers.

2. Magnum Royalty of the Year – Divine Lee
Overall, ABS-CBN stars dominated the list of winners, even though almost all the performers were from rival station GMA. The night ended with a heart-stopping performance by Gary Valenciano and his son Gab.
A fun night overall, thanks to friends with free tickets!
