How many times have we heard the saying “It’s the journey, not the destination”? For a group of independent travelers that phrase takes on a much clearer meaning as they navigate the Philippines, experiencing everything that real-life people go through just to get to that one perfect travel destination.
And it’s all caught on camera.
This is the premise behind PHL360°, a brand new reality show featured exclusively on the web. Eight travelers, each with different backgrounds, tell their stories of suspense, frustration, friendship, fun, and adventure, as they travel to different spots all over the country. Each sets out to accomplish their tasks and get to the goal their own way, meanwhile, trying to compromise with their travel partners who may have other ideas.
Travel bloggers and members of the media were invited to the official PHL360° launch party last June 16 at the Filipinas Heritage Library. It was a fitting venue considering the library is also known as the Nielson Tower, the country’s first modern and commercial international airport established in 1937.
Hosted by multi-awarded scriptwriter and independent film producer Lilit Reyes, and Project Runway Philippines Season 2 competitor Santi Obcena, the launch introduced all eight cast members, film crews, and featured the first episode of the series.

The diverse cast of PHL360° includes software analyst, Chyng Reyes; electronics engineer, Dong Ho; marketing specialist, Chichi Bacolod; freelance digital artist, Robbie Bautista; senior executive manager, Monette Fernandez; medical investigator, Ron Cruz; pole dance athlete and certified public accountant, Hannah Villasis; and journalist/artist and entrepreneur, Robert Alejandro.

PHL360° is produced independently by travel advocates, bloggers, photographers and cinematographers who turned what little resources they had into one of the most slickly-edited and professionaly shot shows on the internet. It is a fusion of reality TV and travel show that goes beyond the destination by promoting culture, people, heritage, environment preservation and patriotism. Utilizing new media, PHL360º webisodes are easily accessible to anyone in any part of the world.
