Summer is almost over and despite already experiencing rain, we still can’t stop the sun’s unbearable heat during the day! It’s a nuisance having to sweat right after putting on your make up and having to do it all over again. I’ve learned a few tricks to keep my lively self vibrant even when under the sun! Here are a few things I depend on:

- A bottle of water. Always keep hydrated!
- Lip balm. My lips often crack from being too dry. Besides drinking water, putting on lip balm can help keep your lips luscious.
- Compact powder. When we sweat, our face tends to get oily right after which is just annoying. Gently pat the powder with a sponge (make sure you pick the right shade for you!) to your face and neck to get a matte effect. Pat gently, so you don’t end up looking like you have a mask on.
- Moisturizer/sunscreen. Applying moisturizer/sunscreen before putting on make-up is important because it protects your face from the harmful effects of the sun. If you’re out, a tinted moisturizer would be the perfect alternative to liquid foundation. I always bring a pack of tinted moisturizer with me for touch-ups, in case I decide to wash my face anytime during the day.
- Cologne/perfume. Nobody wants to smell bad the whole day right? I prefer sweet and cool scents. You can never go wrong with baby colognes!
- Waterproof mascara. In my case, I always try to remain neutral with my make-up. So instead of going through the agony of putting on liquid eyeliner, I use mascara instead. It gives the eyes instant drama with not a lot of fuss.
Matte lipstick. A neutral and pinkish matte lipstick is a staple of mine. It goes with nearly everything.
- Compact mirror. For a quick, occasional check of how your face looks. Make sure you still look good!
- A bright smile. I read somewhere that if you try to smile all the time, even at strangers, soon it will come out naturally. Smiling and receiving a smile in return can boost your mood.
There is no doubt the sun will continue shining but hopefully these tips will help keep you fresh-looking the whole day.
hmmm… another practical guide for someone who has less time looking at the mirror…thanks for sharing…cheers!!!
