Meal of the Week: Tuscan Chicken Meal at Figaro

The verdict: This meal delivered on three out of four items. The chicken with Tuscan sauce was flavorful, perfect for when you want to “eat healthy.” The light salad was nicely crunchy, and dressed well. (Normally not a fan of raw bell peppers, but this was a good batch.) The iced coffee that came with the meal (iced tea was the other option) was a good size relative to how much the entire meal cost.

The weak link though was the arrabiata pasta, which could have (and should have) been spicier. Or not have been called arrabiata, if it was just going to be a non-spicy tomato based sauce.  A healthy sprinkling of chili flakes can help, or you can just get a different pasta — the meal allows you to choose from the ala carte menu.

Spend: Under P250.

This meal was consumed at Figaro Glorietta. Also a laptop-friendly place.

I haven’t tried a lot of the meals at Figaro, but they have awesome pudding with warm vanilla sauce – something I haven’t seen in any of the other coffee shops.

have given up on figaro after they effed up the chicken caesar sandwich – far and away the best thing on the menu for this non-coffee drinker
