The verdict: Good chicken (tender, cooked all the way through). Good rice (flavorful). Oily, but not an issue if you like your Hainanese chicken rice that way. Hot Horlicks drink took me back to my childhood. Underwhelmed by the kaya toast, though. There’s an intimidating slab of butter inside, and the kaya spread itself gets lost in it.
